Footie as an app – without the App Store

Footie is a web app. Put it on the home screen and it opens full screen like a real app, can send reminders and works even when the connection is poor.

Open the guide in the app

The guide in the app shows exactly the steps for your device – and on Android and computer there is a button that does it for you.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open app.footie.dk in Safari.
  2. Tap Share – at the bottom on iPhone, top right on iPad.
  3. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add, and open Footie from the home screen.

Chrome, Firefox and Edge on iPhone can too, from iOS 16.4: use the Share menu in the browser.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open app.footie.dk in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install Footie when the button appears – or ⋮ and Install app.
  3. Confirm, and open Footie from the home screen.

Computer (Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open app.footie.dk in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar, or use the menu and Install Footie.
  3. Footie opens in its own window.

Safari on a Mac: choose File → Add to Dock.

Did you open the link in Facebook, Instagram or Gmail?

Then the page is open inside another app, and Footie can't be added to the home screen from there. Open the link in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) instead.

Children's devices

Put Footie on your child's phone or iPad and log in as a parent the first time. Then choose the child's profile, and the parent area is locked with your PIN.
